Daniel P. Haggerty, Esq. President
Daniel P. Haggerty, Esq. previously worked for family-owned Times-Shamrock Communications as Publisher of The Citizens' Voice, Wilkes-Barre, PA and the Standard-Speaker, Hazleton, PA. During that time, he also held positions at various media properties, including The New York Times and the Baltimore City Paper. While at Times-Shamrock, Mr. Haggerty chaired the acquisition team, which sought to diversify the companys holdings in other industries. He joined PMJ as Vice-President in 2011.
Mr. Haggerty is a graduate of The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA and received his Law Degree and MBA from Villanova University. After Law School, he served as law clerk for the Hon. Thomas I. Vanaskie, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and former Judge for the U.S Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Daniel is a member of the Lackawanna County Bar Association and admitted to practice law by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
Daniel currently serves as President of the Pennsylvania Business Brokers Association and Chairman of the Family Business Alliance at Wilkes University and Penn State Scranton. Daniel is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Keystone College. Jerome Thier Founder & Managing Partner
Jerome M. Thier, Founder and Managing Partner, has been involved since 1992 in the sale, merger, acquisition and valuation of companies in a wide range of industries including retail, consumer products, manufacturing, finance, distribution and leisure. He has previously served as CEO for companies in the medical products and food manufacturing industries.
In the medical products industry, he was CEO and majority shareholder of Neurological Research, which grew from regional to national distribution.
Mr. Thier is a graduate of Brown University and the American Management Association.
He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Business Brokers Association, a member of the International Business Brokers Association and was admitted to the Institute of Business Appraisers in 1997. He has lectured extensively at universities and national trade shows on entrepreneurship.
Additionally, Mr. Thier has been a Professional Certified Snow Ski Instructor for over 30 years.
